where Music ROCKS!

Festival Extra is about performances from some of the great acts we spot at festivals; all of these videos are LIVE & EXCLUSIVE.

we kick off this musical road trip with some amazing artists from 2011, remember Music ROCKS!

Blue Horyzon

A surprise hit of the Off The Tracks spring festival. We first spotted them busking. We weren't the only ones they impressed - later the festival organisers gave them a spot in front of the main stage.

Transglobal underground

While reporting at the bearded theory festival we were asked to make this video for Transglobal Underground, to promote their latest single. It was of course a pleasure.

Simon Mandala & the manadala mystics

Playing at the Off The Tracks Festival, June 2011

Snakeoil - Stealin'

A classic blues band, they were kind enough to record a special session for us at cosmic puffin

Poeticat - Moomin Song

Playing a set for us at Cosmic Puffin Festival 2011

Poeticat - One Night Stand

Playing a set for us at Cosmic Puffin Festival 2011

Poeticat - Average Joe

Playing a set for us at Cosmic Puffin Festival 2011

Jilly Riley - I Dont see Colours

From the 2010 alchemy festival warm-up weekend. Jilly was the surprise hit of the weekend. We liked her so much that we decided to film her. It was such a success that it gave us the idea for the Festival Extra channel.

Jilly Riley - Be careful What You Wish

From the 2010 alchemy festival warm-up weekend. Jilly was the surprise hit of the weekend. We liked her so much that we decided to film her. It was such a success that it gave us the idea for the Festival Extra channel.

Doozer and Super Steve - Ode to the memory of TR

filmed at the Alchemy Festival warm-up weekend, Easter 2010. Doozer is a real stalwart of the scene. This was the first time we used our TV studio, and we managed to make many, many mistakes on the session - as you can see. But we all really love this song, so we've decided to show it anyway

Andy Kirkam - St James Infirmary

One of the finest blues songs, a ukelele and a musical saw. It doesn't get much better than this. Andy is a gifted musician and a real expert on pre-war blues music. This was filmed at Lynwood Gardens Harvest festival, a pocket handkerchief sized festival in the true spirit of a Free festival
